How Clout Media Grew Its Own AI Overview Citations by 18,796% Across Two Phases of Its Own AIO & SEO Program
The Phase 1 and Phase 2 results of Clout Media running its own AIO + SEO methodology on its own website — real Google Search Console, GA4, Bing, and backlink data, wins and honest tradeoffs included.
Phase 1 & Phase 2 Results
Client: Clout Media Agency | Campaign: SEO / AI Search Optimization (AIO) on Clout Media's own website — Phase 1 & Phase 2 Results | Industry: PR & Digital Marketing Agency, Thailand
This case study covers technical SEO audits, AI-citability content structuring, and keyword expansion to every core service line, delivered across two distinct phases: Phase 1 (Jan 6 – Apr 6, 2026), published separately as the 3-month case study, and Phase 2 (May 21 – Aug 20, 2026), the source of this report. Between the two phases there was a real pause of roughly 6 weeks (Apr 7 – May 20, 2026) with no continuous tracking. Total elapsed time from the start of Phase 1 to the end of Phase 2 is approximately 7.5 months — not one unbroken 6-month program.
Results — Search Visibility & Rankings
First-page Google rankings cover every core Clout Media service ("pr agency thailand", "pr distribution in thailand", "pr distribution international", "press conference services", "orm services thailand", "seo aio", "gmb optimisation", "instagram account recovery", "social media agency", "branding service", "design agency thailand"). Google Search Console, Phase 2's most recent 3-month window (5/21–8/20/26) vs. the prior 3 months (2/21–5/20/26): Impressions 142K vs. 45.8K (+210%, surpassing 100K); Clicks 456 vs. 187 (+496%); CTR 0.8% (+100%); Average Position 15.2 (+0.8) — the average position moving slightly lower is an honest tradeoff of a far larger, more competitive keyword set.

Month-on-month (most recent month vs. the month before): Impressions 56.5K (+27%); Clicks 456 (+19%); CTR 0.8% (down 0.1 point); Average Position 16.7 (down 3.2 positions, i.e. worse) — consistent with a much broader, more top-of-funnel keyword set. Example keyword-level detail: "pr agency thailand" — 823 impressions at position 22.74; "press relations campaign price" — 581 impressions at position 4.28.

Results — AI Citations
Google AI Overview citations now cover 10 keywords; ChatGPT citations cover 8 keywords including "pr agency in thailand", "top 10 pr agency in thailand", "best pr distribution services in thailand", "best orm services in thailand", and "seo aio services thailand". Google Generative AI / AI Overview citations: total impressions reached 14.2K, up 18,796%. Bing Webmaster Tools: Citations grew to 558, up 1168%; Cited Pages grew to 2, up 100% — up sharply from the 50 total citations reported at the 3-month checkpoint.
On a month-on-month basis, Google Generative AI impressions reached 6.27K (+40%), and Bing/ChatGPT citations grew to 495 (+910%) with cited pages up to 4 (+300%). The top AI-cited page is /en/blogs/questions-to-ask-before-hiring-pr-agency, with 181 citations. An example AI grounding query, "how to evaluate ROI from PR agency," drew 26 citations for a 27.96% citation share.
Results — Organic Traffic (GA4), Backlink Authority, and Site Health
Organic traffic growth continued through Phase 2, building on the strong early GA4 gains already reported at the Phase 1 checkpoint (Users +346%, Sessions +198%, New users +303% at that point). Backlink Authority: Domain Rating (DR) 4 → 12, up 200%; URL Rating (UR) 7; Backlinks 574, up 28%; Referring Domains 464, up 31% — including real, named referring media such as LINE, Alibaba, Designrush, Goodfirms, TechBehemoths, Matichon, Naewna (แนวหน้า), AuthorityTech, and other Thai business media sources. Dofollow rate: 24% of backlinks and 11% of linking sites.
Site Health, corrected: 93% was the starting baseline at the beginning of Phase 2 — it actually declined to 90% by the end of Phase 2. AI Search Health stayed flat at 83%, with no improvement. Of 47 pages crawled, 2 were healthy, 1 was broken, 43 had issues, and 1 was a redirect. 32 AI-search issues remain open, including duplicate sitemap pages, a low text-to-HTML ratio, and no llms.txt file present on the site.
Results — Site Performance (PageSpeed / Lighthouse)
Another finding we're not going to soften: Lighthouse Performance score actually dropped to 30/100 in Phase 2, down from 52/100 measured in Phase 1 — LCP 8.5 seconds, Total Blocking Time 5,640ms, Speed Index 7.3 seconds, and First Contentful Paint 4.7 seconds. A new "Agentic Browsing" score also came in at 1 out of 2, meaning the site's accessibility tree isn't well-formed for AI agents browsing it. This is a genuine, unresolved regression, and it is now the top technical priority for the next phase of work.
Results — On-Site Engagement (Heatmap & Behavior Analytics)
This is the section where Clout Media holds itself to the same honesty standard it applies to every client report. Several behavioral metrics improved, and several declined, even as traffic and search visibility grew sharply: Sessions 1,045 → 1,537, up 47%; Pages per Session 1.64 → 1.44 (declined); Scroll Depth 47.77% → 39.40% (declined); Active Time Spent approximately 1.0 minute → 45 seconds (declined); Rage Clicks 0.38% → 0.07% (improved); Dead Clicks 10.72% → 7.87% (improved); Excessive Scrolling 0% → 0% (flat); High Intent signal 8.33% → 4.55% (declined); Key Event rate 9.96% → 5.54% (declined). The honest explanation: a much larger volume of new visitors, many arriving through a wider, more top-of-funnel set of keywords, naturally shows different on-site behavior patterns. This is not being spun as secretly good news; it is a real area for the next phase of work, focused on converting this larger top-of-funnel audience into deeper engagement.

Impact and Why Running AIO & SEO on Your Own Site Matters
Across two phases spanning roughly 7.5 months (January through August 2026, including a real ~6-week pause between them), Clout Media took its own website from a narrow keyword footprint with almost no AI presence to first-page rankings across every core service line, real citation presence inside both Google AI Overviews and ChatGPT, and a tripled Domain Rating. At the same time, several on-site behavioral metrics declined, overall site health slipped slightly (93% to 90%), and page speed regressed significantly (52 to 30). An agency willing to show that data — declines included — is an agency that can be trusted to report the same way on client results.
